Summer is just starting, and Writer’s Block is coming back with another unforgettable night of music, stories, and connection — happening Thursday, August 7 at The Bartell Theatre.

This round’s lineup is something special:

• Jake La Botz – A gritty bluesman and born storyteller with songs that feel like noir novels set to slide guitar

• JE Sunde – A literate, melodic songwriter with a singular voice and perspective

• Whitney Mann – A local favorite, blending strength, vulnerability, and pure vocal power

As always, Writer’s Block is a songwriters-in-the-round — no openers, no headliners, just six rounds of original music. It’s intimate, unplugged, and built around the kind of listening-room atmosphere where songs can breathe and stories can unfold.
