The second installment of Writer’s Block will be an extraordinary evening, celebrating the voices of women in music. The night will feature the evocative songwriting of Madison’s own Kari Arnett, the rich and resonant artistry of regional songwriter Anna Vogelzang, and the powerhouse storytelling of national artist Grace Pettis. Each performer will bring their own depth and nuance to the stage, creating an inspiring and deeply moving night of music. With a lineup this strong, it promises to be a must-see event that reinforces the magic of the series—one built on authenticity, connection, and the power of song.

Writer’s Block will kick off on August 8, 2024, with an evening of unforgettable storytelling and song. The debut show will feature a stellar lineup, bringing together local favorite Josh Harty, regional standout Joe Goodkin, and internationally acclaimed Anna Smyrk. Each artist will bring their own unique voice and perspective to the stage, weaving together a night of heartfelt lyrics, captivating melodies, and shared moments between artist and audience.
