Writer’s Block returns to The Bartell Theatre in 2026 with another season of intimate, all-acoustic evenings celebrating the craft of songwriting. Each show features three artists on stage together in a true Songwriters in the Round setting — passing songs back and forth, telling the stories behind them, and reminding us why live music still matters.

Thursday, April 16 – Ellis Paul, Stone & Snow, and carisa

A night of vivid storytelling and rich harmony, pairing a celebrated American songwriter with two Midwestern voices on the rise.

Thursday, August 6 – Regan Stewart, Nick Brown, and Rianna Marie

Heart, grit, and melody you’ll be humming on the way home. Three writers with something honest — and unexpected — to say.

Thursday, December 3 – Caroline Cotter, Amy Speace, and Evan Murdock

Warm, wise, and full of lived-in detail. The kind of songs that sit with you.

Each Writer’s Block show is built for listening. The lights stay up, the volume stays down, and the room leans in. No amps. No egos. Just songs.

Writer’s Block returns to the Bartell Theatre on Thursday, November 20 for one last round before we close out the year — and this lineup is something special.

Katie Dahl, Noah Guthrie, and Mark Croft will share the stage for an intimate night of songs and stories in true Songwriters in the Round fashion. Expect humor, heart, and harmony as three unique voices trade tunes, tales, and insights into the craft of songwriting.
